The primary trailer for Spirited, the Christmas vacation musical comedy starring Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds coming to Apple TV Plus, launched on Wednesday and gives a glimpse on the movie’s irreverent tackle Charles Dickens’ traditional novella A Christmas Carol.
Reynolds performs Clint Briggs, a modern-day Ebenezer Scrooge who’s visited by the Ghost of Christmas Current (Ferrell). When Briggs’ resistance to vary evokes Current to re-evaluate his personal previous, current, and future, he finds himself unexpectedly smitten with Briggs’ coworker (Octavia Spencer) and asks for Briggs’ assist in wooing her.
There have been dozens of various interpretations of A Christmas Carol, together with the 1908 silent movie starring Thomas Ricketts, 1992’s The Muppet Christmas Carol, and innumerable Christmas-themed episodes of Physician Who. Spirited doesn’t precisely appear to be it’s cracking the mould, but it surely does appear to be a serviceable sufficient spin on the unique story to warrant a viewing.
