Bungie CEO Pete Parsons is echoing what many workers are decrying following harsh layoffs on the studio, calling it a “unhappy day.” Simply yesterday, we caught wind of some fairly important layoffs occurring on the PlayStation multiplat studio.
Parsons shared on Twitter his personal opinion, saying goodbye to “colleagues who’ve all made a major affect on our studio.” Some aren’t too eager on the assertion, because it simply feels tone deaf. Others nonetheless name it out as tone deaf, but in addition level the blame at retiring Sony CEO Jim Ryan.
No matter how you are feeling, Parsons advocates for any studio searching for expertise to hit up former Bungie peeps affected by the latest layoffs as they’re ” actually proficient individuals.”
As we speak is a tragic day at Bungie as we are saying goodbye to colleagues who’ve all made a major affect on our studio. What these distinctive people have contributed to our video games and Bungie tradition has been monumental and can proceed to be part of Bungie lengthy into the long run.
