Grownup Swim shared a brand new trailer for Ninja Kamui, the brand new anime sequence from Jujutsu Kaisen director Sunghoo Park, on Saturday. The unique sequence follows Joe Higan, a former ninja who is almost killed by his clan after fleeing to rural America together with his household. Surviving the try on his life, Joe re-dons his id as “Ninja Kamui” to embark on a marketing campaign to avenge his household. Mainly, it appears to be like like John Wick however with ninjas as a substitute of hitmen, and it appears to be like killer.
The trailer is spectacular, with fast-paced sword preventing juxtaposed with explosive motion and beneficiant geysers of gushing blood. Ninja Kamui is the primary authentic manufacturing from E&H manufacturing, the anime studio Park based in 2021 through the manufacturing of Jujutsu Kaisen season 1 and Jujutsu Kaisen 0. The sequence options authentic character designs by Takashi Okazaki, the artist and author behind Afro Samurai.
In 2022 Park left MAPPA, the anime studio behind Jujutsu Kaisen, to work at E&H manufacturing full-time. Following Park’s departure, Jujutsu Kaisen’s second season was directed by Shōta Goshozono, who beforehand labored as an episode director on Rating of Kings and Chainsaw Man.
Ninja Kamui will premiere Feb. 10 on Grownup Swim’s Toonami programming block, who will air each the English dubbed and subbed model of the primary episode at 12 a.m. and three a.m EST respectively. The sequence will stream on Max the next day, with new episodes scheduled to launch there following their debut on Grownup Swim.
